Sullivans Cove have again achieved success at the World Whiskies Awards, claiming the title of Best Australian Single Malt for their 25th Anniversary Special Edition, in contest with over 30 Australian distilleries.

The announcement was made at the World Whiskies Awards 2020 ceremony in London last night, where Sullivans Cove also received the award for Best Australian Single Cask Single Malt Whisky in the 12-yo and under category.

Hosted by Whisky Magazine, the World Whiskies Awards are the most prestigious and well-respected global whisky competition, seeing thousands of entries worldwide and blind-judged by a large panel including journalists, distillers, retailers and other whisky industry experts.

The winning whisky is to date the oldest ever official distillery bottling of Australian single malt. With 502 bottles, the bottling is from four 21-yo American oak ex-bourbon casks, a length of maturation unprecedented in the young modern Australian whisky industry.

The staff at Sullivans Cove extend thanks to their customers for their ongoing support.
